Velasquez Carpet installed wood-look luxury vinyl plank in a commercial space in Miami and South Florida. The job ran in three steps: tear-out, a feather cement leveling coat, then the finished floor. Built for Every Step.

Tear-out

The old commercial floor came up first. A hammer and pry bar pulled the worn material, then the subfloor was scraped clean so the new plank would sit flat.

Feather cement leveling coat

After tear-out, a smooth brown feather cement coat went down to level the subfloor. This photo is that leveling coat, not the finished floor.

Finished wood-look floor

Once the leveling coat was ready, wood-look luxury vinyl plank went in. The finished floor is shown through a doorway, and again with a tan chair in the space.
