Your event floor can do more than cover the ground. With custom printed event carpet, it can carry your logo, a pattern, or your event artwork from wall to wall. We are Velasquez Carpet, a family-owned flooring company serving Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach since 1997, and our crew proofs, prints and installs custom carpet for galas, trade shows, product launches and brand activations across South Florida.
This guide is for event planners, production companies and venue teams who want a printed floor and need to know how the process works, what to send us, and how much time to leave before load-in.
What custom printed event carpet is good for
A printed floor turns the ground into part of the event design. Instead of a plain color with a vinyl decal on top, the artwork is printed into the carpet itself in full color. The jobs we see most often:
- Brand activations and product launches where the logo or campaign artwork runs across the whole floor.
- Galas and ballroom events with a repeating pattern or medallion that ties into the decor.
- Trade show booths where a printed floor makes a small footprint stand out from the aisle.
- Entrances, stages and photo areas that need a custom look in front of the cameras.
Depending on the layout, we can print on carpet, on carpet tile for flexible or reconfigurable spaces, or on custom mats for smaller branded areas. You can see the options on our custom printed event carpet page.
From your artwork to an approved proof
Everything starts with the artwork and the floor size. Send us:
- Your logo or artwork in the highest-resolution file you have. Vector files (AI, EPS, PDF) work best for logos and text.
- The floor dimensions, or the venue floor plan if you have one, plus any columns, stages or cutouts.
- Your event date, load-in time and strike time.
We prepare a scaled proof that shows how the design sits on the actual floor. That is the moment to catch a logo that lands under a stage, text that reads upside down from the entrance, or a pattern that does not line up with the room. Nothing is printed until you approve the proof.
Printing and installation: lining up the design
Once the proof is approved, the design is printed in full color, trimmed, and checked against the proof before it leaves for the venue. On site, the install is where a printed floor is won or lost. A plain carpet can hide a small seam shift. A printed pattern cannot.
Our crew snaps reference lines, lays the pieces in order, and matches the pattern across every seam so the artwork reads as one continuous floor. Seams are kept out of the main focal points, such as the center of a logo, whenever the layout allows. We finish with a walkthrough with your team before the doors open.
Scheduling, load-in and removal
Printed carpet takes more lead time than a stock event carpet, because of the proofing and printing steps. The earlier we see the artwork and the floor plan, the more room there is for revisions. A few things to sort out early:
- Load-in window. Tell us when the room is free and what other crews (staging, lighting, decor) are working at the same time. Flooring usually needs to go down before furniture and decor.
- Venue rules. Some venues have rules on tape and adhesives on their floors. We plan the install around them.
- Strike. We handle the removal and clean-up after the event, so the venue gets its floor back clean.

What to ask your event flooring contractor
- Will I see a scaled proof on my floor plan before anything is printed?
- Who installs the carpet, and how do you line up the pattern at the seams?
- Can you work inside the venue’s load-in window and its rules on tape and adhesives?
- Is removal and clean-up included after the event?

FAQ
What file should I send for my logo?
A vector file (AI, EPS or PDF) is best for logos and text. For photos or detailed artwork, send the highest-resolution file you have, and we will tell you if it will hold up at floor size.
Can you print on carpet tile instead of broadloom?
Yes. Printed carpet tile works well for flexible layouts, booths and spaces that may be reconfigured. Custom printed mats are another option for smaller branded areas.
Do you remove the carpet after the event?
Yes. Our crew handles the strike, removal and clean-up when your event ends.
